WEDNESDAY MORNING SANGHA Weekly on Wednesday, 7:15-7:45am Join online from any quiet place! I make it easier for beginners to learn to meditate and for practitioners to meditate in community through this weekly drop-in virtual meditation group. On a given Wednesday morning, whether you are sleepy, anxious, settled, challenged...I encourage you to show up. A regular meditation practice is revolutionary and results in increased tolerance for a broader range of inner experience, a greater sense of connection to others, and less mental suffering. Just sign up by filling in the pop-up form on the homepage, or by dropping me a line through my Contact form. You'll receive an email with easy instructions. We use Zoom conferencing software: At the mere click of the button, we appear on each other's screens, each in our own pane. You will be muted at first, and I'll ask you to take a turn un-muting to share your name, location, and what feels present/how things are. Then we'll make sure our posture is comfortable and I'll guide us into a 20-minute meditation. Let this mindful gathering be a catalyst and anchor for a regular self-led practice.
YOGA, MINDFULNESS & INQUIRY: A MONTHLY INSIGHT YOGA PRACTICE Monthly on (mostly) Second Sundays, 10am-Noon The Boston Center for Contemplative Practice Register online to save time when you arrive Insight Yoga is an integrated practice where complimentary streams of yoga, Buddhism, and spiritual psychology are interwoven to enhance physical, energetic, mental, and emotional health. We invite meditators interested in exploring the body as another way in, as well as yoga practitioners interested in bringing more meditation into their routines, and practitioners of multiple methods and any level of experience to gather monthly to spend two hours with a variety of skillful means to tap-root our inherent wisdom and compassion and meet the self as it actually is: luminous and full of potential. We open with a 10-minute sit, land acknowledgement, and vows; we then move into pranayama, yin yoga, and slow flow yoga; and we close with savasana and a 20-minute sit. The amount of guidance and silence at the start of each meditative period and during yin yoga will be tailored to the needs of the practitioners in the room, with the intention of providing an equally supportive and spacious holding environment. 2019: September 15, October 13, November 10, December 15 2020: January 12, February 8, March 12, April 9, May 10....
